I am befuddled by a peculiar problem:
I have a coworker who "loses" 1 layer from his Xref when he Xclips it down. When I open the same drawing with the same Xclip on the same Xref the layer is there.
I think its a system variable, but I am not finding anything on the forums.
I appreciate any input.

Hi. In a new empty drawing I created 2 intercepting cercles on the same plane, nothing else. Then I tried snapping a line to one of the intersection using the intersection snap tool and it just won't work, it snaps close but never on the exact intersection. Would it have to do with how smooth the cercles are maybe in the resolution display? It's already at 1000.

AutoCAD 2018LT: Normally I will double click a drawing file in File Explorer to open in AutoCAD, everything fine. If I use the file open dialog box, a previously saved and named file will open as drawing1, drawing2, etc.
Hey all. I have been searching for an easy fix for this issue with AutoCAD LT for a couple of years. I have always ended up pasting all of my current affected drawings contents into another new drawing.
The issue appears to be that the target changes for some unknown reason, to me anyway, out of nowhere bam. My text now has jagged edges and drives my eyes crazy when working on the drawing. (It may change due to bringing in a block that was created in a drawing with the target changed. That is my best guess. Or I hit some system variable while fumbling across the keyboard... I have no idea.)
I have read at least 100 different threads over the last couple of years. Lots of really good pointers but has never fixed the problem. One main thing I have seen posted again and again is that true type fonts are really touchy and if the target z value is not 0 it will not display properly but setting the z value to whatever the new target z is does not work. Some have said to change the font to a shx font. Well the font I like to use I cannot find in a shx font.
So, today I stumbled across an easy fix to this dilemma.... I have given up drafting and no longer care... Just kidding.
Go to paper space and click through to model space. Then go to view>named views... this box comes up with the current view with all the target coordinates at 0,0,0 and camera coordinates at 0,0,-1. Just like in a new drawing.

We use LT for producing control panel wiring schematics, every panel is bespoke so the wire numbers change on virtually every project but we do use parts from multiple schematics to create each new drawing so huge chunks are already numbered but will not obviously run sequentially in this way.
Is it possible to create a way of updating the wire numbers is an automatic way through a script or macro e.g. say the page has wire numbers 300 to 320 and we want to change them to in the range of 400 to 420, so choose the first wire number we want to use e.g. 400, click on the wire that is labelled as 300 and this changes to 400 and then every subsequent existing number we click on increments by 1 until we exit the script or macro. I believe that in full AutoCAD you can use various commands such as TCOUNT to achieve this.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I've been using AutoCAD 2018 for almost a year, and I started working with others that use AutoCAD 2017. I have been saving as 2013 file format, but when I open up drawings in AutoCAD 2017 that were created in 2018, I get a Proxy Information dialog box that says I need to download object enablers.
The dialog box shows the missing applications as AecBase80, AecBaseEx80, AecArchBase80 and AecSchedule80 all which have the product description of "Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007".
This doesn't make sense as I don't use Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007.
Where do I find these object enablers?

After I type my text, and enter it, it goes away. Perhaps there is a function to not allow me to make changes????

I have received a survey saved as AutoCAD 2013. I opened it no problem with my AutoCAD 2017 but when I started offsetting giving a certain distance, a ray would appear, perpendicular to the line I am willing to offset and starting from it. When I click on the side I want to offset, nothing happens.
I have checked the OFFSIDEGAPTYPE and it's set on 0, I have tried 1 but still nothing. I have pasteclipped the content to a new drawing, but still nothing.
I am not sure what the problem is and how to fix it, but I use the offset command a lot and I am a bit stuck.
Any advise most welcome. Thanks
Why is it every time that I start my computer and AutoCAD I have to logout and log back in again. This is everyday I'm having to do this.

I keep getting a fatal error message when trying to start AutoCad LT 2009. Message reads: Unhandled e06d7363h Exception at 86b34008h. Can anyone suggest a fix for this please? I have tried reloading the software but the error code remained unchanged.

i' am drawing a simple polyline shape which contains arcs and lines. When I flick from an arc to a line, the polyline almost doesn't regen properly and creates a funny join, as picture below:
has anyone seen anything like this before and more importantly how to remove it?
I will be building a new work machine in the near future. My current machine has ACLT 2017 with some customizations. What would be the ramifications of moving to ACLT 2018 on the new machine and the process to get it installed with my 2017 customizations?
Any idea why AutoCAD LT 2018 starts and then crashes? I am not able to open an drawing. The software crashes immediately after starting it. See attached screenshots.

I need some help. I've set up a template for my company to work with xrefs incl SSM. I've created a new Sheet Set & Imported Layouts from each DWG file as my company don't want to separate the Model from the Plot File so I was forced to import the Layout from each drawing. To make life easier the titleblocks in each of the drawings are xrefed in & can be changed over fields from the SSM to make life easier...that's what I thought. Now I happily create my template folder incl sheet set manager etc....When I copy the whole file into a new project folder to use the created ssm settings yo start a new project all my connections are linking back into the original file to the template folder...To solve this problem I had to go into the new sheet set manager properties and re-link all the properties of location etc....very annoying and I'm trying to avoid failure when people starting using it in the office. I've also recognized that I can rename my sheet set in my properties when open but cannot rename the ssm file....
I would really appreciate your help and suggestions!

Hi All Me again - always with a problem
Currently using AutoCAD LT 2016 - And noticed that it seems to automatically altering the view port size in the template layout - the view port window scales up and out of the template frame - at first I thought i was accidentally altering the view port window as mistakes do happen without your knowledge, but this happened too many times and now I am certain its has nothing to do with me. so what could it be ?

Good evening, purchase new computer. Installed 2018 LT and a few issues are driving me bananas.
1st The model and layout tabs on the bottom left are missing. How do I recover.
2nd The model and paper space button n the ribbon at the button right doesn't operate. I click on it and it doesn't switch. If I type model in command line the drawing will switch.
Any and all help is appreciated.
