I have recently been having problems w/ my sheet set manager. Almost every drawing I hope that is associated w/ a sheet set produces this error: ---------------------------

I have figured out that I can make that error go away by deleting the ds$. I would prefer not to take the step or delete my backup file.

Hello Autocad Elites,
I would like to enquire on autocad version 2014 LT.
Having to be a naval architecture student, we are tasked to complete the follow requirement of getting the Area and Center of Gravity of a complicated Tower Drawing of a Barge.
Our current practice for the software is as follow:
1) Using the command Region, UCS, Massprop or alternative,
2) Using the command Polyline, List and Dimension follow by calculation.
As above stated, both rules required extensive labor in order to complete 1 drawing. May I know if there is any other ways (for an example):
1) Using Massprop and select the different objects (area do not add up & center of gravity is not midpoints of these object)
2) Showing all dimension in a drawing without using the command QDIM.

Older version users - Need input
I have AutoCAD LT 2006 i used to be able to upload newer version drawings and then download in a version I could open. I do not see that option any more. I cannot seem to find that option anymore. Is it still possible to do that?

LAYERS APPEAR TO BE GROUPED TOGETHER
I'm trying to figure out how to turn off individual layers (or freeze them) by clicking on the layer in the drawing. On a few layers it works, but most of the layers appear to be grouped together, so that when I click on one layer, about 20 layers get turned off at the same time. I can go through the Layer menu and turn off each layer individually without this issue, but this particular drawing has over 1,800 layers - most of which are not even used on this drawing. It would be much quicker to be able to click on the unwanted layers in the drawing and turn them off one layer at a time. I'm working with CAD files drawn by engineers and am only trying to turn off the unwanted layers so that my crews have a "clean" drawing to work from without the un-needed clutter. I've got limited knowledge of the CAD program and all it's features, as I have no need to actually generate a drawing in CAD...just looking to turn certain layers off. Thanks for any feedback! Zac

adding a page number field
I am using autocad lt 2017. I have inserted a field to my title block that will show what I type into each page tab at the bottom using the insert field and system variables and selecting ctab. I have used this for the title of each page, but is there a field or somehow that I could add a field that will insert the page number also without having to change what I have typed in the tabs? example, for my tabs I have the deck number and area in each tab and then the ctab field displays exactly what I have typed. Without changing my descriptions to have only numbers in the tabs can I somehow show page numbers too? when I try to use the currentsheetnumber field it only displays #### in the field box.....

Manufacturer's Hatch doesn't print in pdf or show in preview
Hi, I'm working with some stone patterns from a manufacturer's, it shows ok on model space and paper space on all drawings, but there is one section that is not showing. Is there a limit on how much hatch you can have on a dwg? if you look at the attached screen captures, the paper space shows stone on the lower part, but the plot preview just doesn't. thanks

in AutoCad 2018, quando apro la Finestra di gestione dei layer, si apre una schermata nera.
Anzichè vedere la lista dei layer con le relative proprietà, con il colore attribuito, il tipo linea, ecc ecc, vedo una schermata completamente nera.

Had AutoCAD LT 2016 and installed AutoCAD LT 2018
When I attempt to open a drawing, I get... "How do you want to open this .dwg file? Keep using this app.. AutoCAD 2016". From this location I choose AutoCAD 2018 to open the drawing. I've uninstalled 2016, and deleted anything related to 2016 that I could. I can live with the extra step, but...

AutoCad LT 2014 - Crashing on Surface Pro 4
Looking for help.....
I have installed Auto-Cad LT 2014 on my Surface Pro 4 computer. The software installed and was activated. When I open the program to use and select a command the program crashes and shutdown. I then get this message. "A software has caused Auto-Cad to close unexpectedly"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dimcontinue problems
Hello,
I am using AutoCAD Lt 2015. I have previously used AutoCAD (many different versions) so this could be a difference in the two programs. Also, this could be a setting problem.
When I start a dimension string, I use the keyboard command for DIMALIGNED for the first command, then DIMCO for dimcontinue. Once I have entered dimco, usually I need to pan or zoom around the drawing to continue my string of dimensions using my object snaps. I have always used the scroll wheel for this, either scrolling for zoom or clicking with the scroll wheel for pan. The scroll wheel is now behaving oddly (and frustrating for me). When I scroll, it places a dimension, where ever my cross hairs were. If I click the scroll button (to pan) it places a "continued dimension". I've used continued dimensions every day, and this is not a behavior I'm used to.
Is there a setting that has gotten changed? If so, What is it? Or is this an AutoCAD vs. AutoCAD LT difference.
Also, I have double checked to see if I could replicate the problem in a brand new drawing. The answer is no, I cannot replicate this problem in a new drawing. I'm stumped.
Any help is appreciated. I have attached a copy of the file.

i need help understanding XREF's. I do not need to work simultaneously on drawings with someone else, as I work alone. I have an engineer friend who was showing me some of the benefits of using XREFs, but I do not remember how he showed me to do it. Really, I just need help getting started. Im using AutoCAD LT 2018.
