Autocad true view 2015
Hello... can't find the relevant forum ... so thought I would try here. Does anyone know if it is possible to change from imperial to metric in the free Autocad viewer (True view)? All the drawings I view with this, give me measurements in inches, rather than mm. can anyone help? Thanks!

Fixing an unresolved X-ref
An old client of mine wants me to print a pdf's of a project I did back in 1997. I have located the files but who knows at this point what version of AutoCadd they were drawn with. When I open my drawing sheets none of the indivdual drawings (title block, floor plans, details etc.) apear on the the drawing sheet. All of these drawings are Xrefed into this sheet/dwg. When I look at the Xref dialog box under "status" it says unresolved. In the details section I have gone through and made sure the "Found at" and "Saved Path" are updated, correct and the same. The strange thing is that under "Size" and "Date" these lines are blank of any information. I have opened the xref'd files and saved them to my current version (2015) but I can not get their status to change. Any ideas?

Autocad LT for MAC - invalid serial number
Really bad order experience, can someone here help?
Ordered AutoCAD LT 2015 for Mac (Annual Desktop Subscription with auto-renewal)
First order entry hung, second one went through, eventually 48 hours later I got 2 fulfillemnt confimrations and appears as though I've been charged twice.
Serial number is the same for both orders.
Trying to activate the trial version using the serial number I get
The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)
Trying to activate at register.autodesk.com I get
Your product cannot be registered in United Kingdom. (7)

DIESEL Function - Hex2Dec
I use AuoCAD LT 2015. I annotate equipment placed on DWGS with a 3-string hexadecimal number. I need to perform calculations on those numbers but in decimal format. So my question is - can anyone formulate a DIESEL function to tranform a 3-string hexadecimal number to its corresponding integer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Autocad template - default view model space
Good afternoon,
Trying to create a template (.dwt) with a title block in model space. This title block should (upon opening) be centered according to my monitor.
I do "zoom-to-fit" so that the title block stays centered and then save the file as .dwt template.
Then I open the template, and bam! The title block is not zoomed to fit anymore. Any idea how to fix this?
N.B. Autocad window is maximized in boxth cases.

AutoCAD 2015 bug multiline text looks bold by being connected to object
Hi guys
Definite strange bug of some kind. Originally I thought it was my copy of AutoCAD LT or my PC but after updating both (now running LT2015 with a high performance laptop) and still having the issue, I thought I'd try here.
Please see the attached .png.
For some reason multiline text looks bold when it isn't. It has something to do with connecting it to objects whilst snapping. There is no difference in any of the properties, the text style,.... anything... I've tried different font, hardware acceleration on/off, different sizes... I'm now starting to think it might be a bug in the software itself
You can imagine how irritating this is when I'm simply trying to attach text to an object (which I do 100s of times a day most often!)... for the last few years I've been working around it by zooming in but this can't go on forever
Please help!!! Someone!

Transparent Hatching
Hi guys -
I'm trying to hatch an area with a solid cyan fill, but I want it transparent to show what's underneath. I select the transparency option for the hatch and set the filter to 10 (also set to 90) but it makes no difference. It's supposed to look like misted glass, but it remains solid.....
Using LT2012 at the moment, hoping to upgrade soon!!
Am I asking too much, or is it possible?

Multiline Text Match Properties only changing half of text
I am fairly new to autocad, but anyone I have asked about this is stumped as well. I have been creating a document displaying pick faces of material on a pallet rack. To get it done quicly it is just a bunch of boxes with multiline text boxes containing the part data, etc. I wanted to go through and change all the text boxes I have so they are no longer bolded. I changed one box and went to use match properties. When using match properties on the remaining text boxes only half or so of the text gets updated. When I hover my mouse over the MText, the part that changes is clearly getting selected while the remaining text still gets selected but visibily different. If I select the MText and delete, everything is removed so it isn't more than one text box.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error intalling!!!
Hi Guys
I am trying to download a 2015 LT trail but keep getting the error message stating 'the system cannot find the file specified' and will then not allow installation, has anyone else had this issue? I had the full trial installed and it worked fine, i have attached the error message as a screen shot.

Dashed lines in model space plot as solid line autocad lt 2015 for Mac
dashed lines in plan in model space show as solid in paper space. picked dashed line for object; picked dashed line for that layer; tried everything and just lost work because of it. I hope I have to search and set a hundred line scales in various places to "1" then coordinate several layer items and model space and paper space issues because a 2d drafting program should not be simple! I forget this is "robust" program haha :-)

paper space in paper space
i have a drawing with a paper space(A2) embedded within a larger paper space(A1)
I can unlock paper space A1 and get in and select the viewport of A2 and unlock it , but beyond
that I'm unable to go into model space in A2 to change what drawings show in paper space (A2) viewport.
Any help on how to resolve this.

Crashing and Reset to Defaults Failure
I had been having many problems with AutoCAD (frequent crashing, failing to launch, not opening certain files) so I attempted to Reset To Defaults and now the program will not open at all.

automatically snaps to perpendicular from line
Just installed 2015 from 2013 and I've noticed it's started automatically snapping me to a perpendicular path after I draw a line. It's like I've got Polar Tracking turned on and set to 90 degrees. Is there a way to turn this off, it's massively annoying. Also very hard to search forums for when you don't know what it's called.

autocad 2015 LT mouse pan issue...
Hello,
I just got a new computer and version of autocad lT. I'm coming from autocad 2009 LT with windows 7, and am now using autocad 2015 LT on windows 8.1. For some reason my scroll button does not pan. It will still zoom. I'm using a Evolouent 4 ergonomic mouse. This could be the problem. But I used it with the older version of autocad and computer and did not have a problem. it has 5 programmable buttons. The mouse has software to program the mouse. It appears to be set up correctly. But for some reason the "right click button" will not right click. It pans for some reason. And the "3rd button" or button next to the "right click button" actuall right clicks and brings up a menu... I have no clue whats going on here. I've uninstalled and re-installed the mouse driver. restarted my computer, switched the usb ports. I've tried all I can. I would like to try the re-configure the autocad mouse macros settings to see if that works, but I'm not familiar with that process at all.
I've been using this mouse for a few years and I'm very set in my ways. It's very hard to adjust to the different button configuration. Can anybody help me with this issue?
Also, to make things more confusing... When I open a file on autocad, if I don't do anything and the first thing I do is attempt to pan using the scroll wheel, it works just fine. But if I do ANYTHING else it stops working. So if I zoom or something I lose the ability to pan using the scroll wheel. It's very odd to me.
This issue is killing my speed and productivity so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Selection Cycling in LT2015
Hi All,
I'm unable to get Selection Cycling to work.
I have two pairs of overlapping lines that I only want to fillet 1 pair.
Vertically I have a green and a yellow line.
Horizontally I have a green and a yellow line.
I want to fillet the horizontal green line to the vertical green line.
I can pick the first green line but it is impossible to pick the second green line.
Any solutions?

Serial Number
I recently purchased AutoCAD LT 2015.
Autodesk tells me to go to my "Autodesk Account" select "Products and Services" select "Download Products" select the version of AutoCAD I want and my Serial Number will be there. When I follow these instructions and after I select "Download Products" I am directred to a window - all in Italian - that does not allow me to select AutoCAD LT 2015. In fact it doean't allow me to select anything so I just keep looping around in various and redundant windows.
Autodesk "Chat" didn't help either.
Can some one please help me through the maze or tell me how to contact Autodesk - perhaps even talk to a human being.

Palette display control issues on my laptop. autocad 2015Lt
Regarding the Properties Palette and other Palette's. When I activate the properties command the Palette appears, the width is condensed to where I can not see any of the values. The docking is working fine. You can't simply stretch the palette box to any size you want. So, I followed the instructions in the CUI under workspaces-palette-height-width. I set a new value for the width but its not working. Is there a variable to set this free. How can I control the palette size to see all the values?
