when i try to start a new drawing an error code comes up stating "a display driver is missing or corrupted " any ideas on how to fix this? thanks!

AEC walls in 2013 LT
I have AutoCAD 2013 LT. I draw house plans and I have a aec wall that measures 4" wide. Is there a way to change this so it measures 4-1/2" wide so it matches a 3-1/2" stud with 1/2" sheetrock on each side? Can I modify this myself or can I download a 4-1/2" wall somewhere? Thanks.

Drawing frozen in Layout space after resizing Autocad Lt. 2015
We're trying to transfer all of our old drawings on to a new template. We've been doing this for a few months and have only started to encounter this problem.
After the drawing has been pasted into model space, clicking on the layout tab brings up the drawing border and the drawing that was pasted in must be resized to fit the border (in model space). However, when it is resized, the original sized drawing lingers. I have tried regenerating the drawing, and I have restarted the program multiple times, as well as tried it on another computer. All of these strategies have yielded the same result. The lingering drawing cannot be selected (in model space nor paper space), and prints in addition to the resized drawing.
We are using Autocad LT 2015 on a Dell Latitude E5400 and another desktop computer.
Any help would be much appreciated!

AutoCAD 2015 Failed Installation
I am trying to install AutoCAD LT on a PC running Windows 7 64 bit. When I run the installer it seems to run normally but then at the end it says it's finished and "some products" failed to install. Tech support sent me this link, closed my case, and apparently knocked off for the weekend:
It instructs me to go to the TEMP directory and find the installation log file and look for an error message. There is no installer log file or anything like it in the TEMP directory.
I have installed AutoCAD LT several times on work PC's and my Mac and never encountered this. I am brand new to the self administered PC world (Mac user since 1984), and I am experiencing "some" frustration. I have been stuck in this mode for two days. Can anyone help me?

LT 2015 Font/.shx/Mtextmap.ini Migration Errors - Please HELP!
I have ACAD LT 2015 (SP2) running fine on once PC. This has a workspace that was upgraded from LT 2010.
I am moving onto a new PC and so installed LT 2015, along with SP2. When I opened up one of my drawings all of the text is showing as the wrong font (i think its now simplex). So I tried migating my settings from the working copy of LT 2015 to the new one using the migration tool, zip file, etc. When I import the setting I get a load of errors on the Mtextmap.ini, access to various .shx files is denied, and folders do not exist.
I have attached logs of the istall and the errors. I can paste these into a thread if it would help.
I have read about the bigfont issue and installed the hotfix but I dont believe this is the problem.
I'm tryng to run a business here and this is driving me crazy! Any help at all would be really appreciated.

Geolocating/google earth base maps
I desperately need help! I am using LT 2014. I base map from Google Earth, and now need to start geolocating. Thru the built in option I can locate the customer, but this is where the problems start. I cannot get the map to insert at the correct coordinates, and when the map does come in I cannot get close enough to accurately basemap. So I want to use Google Earth Images instead. How can I insert the images into the correct coordinates at the correct scale? Online searches have left me more confused. And buying additional software does not appear to be an option. Can someone help me find the missing links to make these 3 things work together?

Text in Paper Space disappeared!
a 2 part question:
1) I am using AutoCad LT 2011, trying to transfer my files to a desktop/pc version the first drawing file i transfered lost all text and numbers of dimension lines.
How do i get back text and numbers on my drawings?

2) AutoDeskLT 2011 on my MacBook Pro is LAGGING TERRIBLY, every single command i click gives me the spinning rainbow wheel. i am loosing lots of time between commands. how do i fix this problem?

One Second Command Delay
Hi,
I have recently experienced a serious command delay occurring in my copy of AutoCAD LT 2013 (64-bit). I type a command, then the program will not let me click for at least one full second, which can be a serious slow-down in workflow. For instance, I click the line tool, then try to quickly click a start and end point. Nothing happens. So I have to go do it again. Repeated experiments show that it won't activate the command for at least a full second.
I've had this software on my computer for quite some time. Using Windows 8. Never seen this before. Recent system changes that could possibly have caused this are regular Windows 8 updates, or perhaps a new virus scanner. Tried swapping out the peripherals, no effect. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, no effect. Will try ditching the scanner.
Doesn't seem to be "performance" based as this software has never stressed my system and I tried optimizing Windows for performance.
Any ideas?

Autocad LT 2012
For some reason the holes locations are off. When we Linear dimension the holes, they are correct. But when we use the coordinate dimension from LIST they are different. We are just wondering what causes this. And how to fix it.

Linetype Scale Issues
I'm having a frustrating issue getting linetypes to display correctly between drawings...I hope I can explain this...
I have 2 drawings both at same scale (1:200)...
1st drawing ltscale is set correctly at 800 and linetype displays correctly...all is well
2nd drawing ltscale is set incorrectly at 400 and the same linetype displays 2x larger than it should (at ltscale 800 its displays at 4x larger)
Both drawings have exactly the same linetype.
The linetype appears to be tied to data on 6 layers because I need to purge all 6 to get rid of it....problem is I need this data that the linetype is tied to so I need a way to get this linetype to display at the proper scale.
I'm thinking maybe that the ltscale must have been set incorrectly at 400 in the 2nd drawing before data (blocks?) were introduced forcing the linetype to be set permanently
I'm really hoping for a fix for this from anyone that's had a similar problem...

Need to disable TrueView
I am running 2007 LT and recently downloaded TrueView 2015 in order to open shared files on my network. Most of the files I am trying to open are 2010 LT or newer. The viewer works great but I would like to disable it from opening all LT files. Since I have downloaded it my system defaults to opening all CAD files with the viewer, regardless of the vintage of the file. I need to still be able to open 2007 or older files with my version of LT

dxf file too large
I frequently creat drawings and save them in dxf format to send out to our wire edm machines. The machine operator is telling me that the file sizes are too lagre,(appox. 300-600 KB) and bog down his machine. He tells me that my predecessor used be able to get files sizes down to about 1-4 KB. I can't figure out how do this. I looked at some of the old dxf files which are indeed 1-4 KB, and they appear to have the same layers, linetypes, and such as the ones I make. The drawings i need to send are generally very simple, no text, hatching, or anything other than lines and radii. if i open my dxf file in PROCAM and resave them the file size is small enough, but it takes several minutes to open, which is a pain. I have given purging a try but it hasn't worked. If anyone can offer any suggestions I would very much appreciate it. I am fairly new to Autocad (< than 2 years experience) so please don't assume that I know what should be obvious. thanks in advance.

Text Size - 1/12"
Hi-
For context, Im using AutocadLT 2012 on Mac
Im trying to get everyone in our small firm to use the the same text style and size. The firm was using non annotative text that you would manaully change the text size everytime you made a new text or dimension. Now we are using annotative text. The boss (old school autocad guy) wants to use 1/12" text size, so at 1/4 scale the text is 4" in model space.
Is there a way to set this up in the text style? Seems to me no, because autocad always rounds 1/12" to a number based on your precision you set in drawing units. I set the text size to 11/128" (4 1/8" at 1/4 scale) and I am guessing this is the best solution. I just wanted confirmation in case I get questioned at work. Better solutions?

System hangs when selecting 'file' menu
I have autocad 2015 LT. When I work at the office, all the files are stored on a server and autocad works fine. When I work at home, and I am not connected to the server, each time I select the file menu, the system hangs. I always save a copy of the file I am working on directly to my laptop and the file path for the backups is on my C drive. It seems as though it is trying to look back to the server (which obviously it can't find) and I don't know how to stop it!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

System Crashed No AutoCAD 2012 CD
Hi,
My Hard Drive has recently Crashed and had to reload my Operating system. I finally found my AutoCAD LT 2012 Box but see that there is no CD inside.
It must have gotten lost somehow.
I also did not take the time to subscribe the product.
Is there any place that I can download the Installer ??

Can't change diameter symbol font in dimension
I have a monospace dimension style which uses the Courier New Font. Recently, I 've noticed that the diameter symbol is bolder than the text. The reason is that the symbol is in Arial while the dimension is in Courier New. If I explode the dimension and try to change the symbol font, it won't change to Courier. Instead, it changes to Country Blueprint which is the font listed above Courier. I tried entering the symbol in MTEXT and the same thing occurs. If I enter the symbol in MTEXT using ALT+0248, I can change it to Courier but entering it from the symbols menu, I can't change it to Courier although I can change it to just about any other font. I tried reloading the font but that had no effect.
Any help will be greatlly appreciated.
