LT 2009 - Crashes while using after fresh install.

I recently installed AutoCAD 2009 LT on a new laptop. 

I have been finding that it has been crashing regularly while in use. Just simply working on AutoCAD will cause a crash, even doing the smallest tasks. 

I thought maybe it could be a service package required but I cant seem to install them or it tells me everything is up to date. 

Any one any ideas??
