Command Issues

I am using AutoCAD 13 LT. I was working on a project when AutoCAD froze. I waited to see if it would fix itself, but was unsuccessful. I forced AutoCAD closed. I restarted the program, and it asked me if I wanted to recover the file, and I said yes, and promptly saved the recovered file as a new file. When I began to work on the project drawing again, I discovered some issues. First, I cannot edit any text. I can put in new text, but any text already in the drawing is not editable. Second, I cannot delete anything. The only way that I can get rid of something is by cutting it out with the clipboard command. Third, if I have a line or object selected, and use the copy command, for example, it deselects the line or object and makes me select what objects I want to copy. Before this issue, I could select the line or object, then choose copy, and it would skip to asking for the base point, not going back to the beginning of the command prompts and asking me which objects I want to copy. All of these issues are there when I tried working on other projects and drawings, so it is not just the recovered file. I have tried to contact someone about help fixing this, but everything and everyone lead me to the website and ultimately the forum. I would like to not have to uninstall and reinstall the program, but if it will fix my issues, then I will do it, and just have to suffer through trying to get everything re-registered and re-activated. If anyone has any information on what could cause this and what I can do to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric
