Autocad LT 2014 and Photoshop Elements 10

In the office when using Autocad LT 2014 and Photoshop Elements 10 (both open at the same time. the following issue shows up.

If you click and object in Autocad and then try to hit escape to cancel it does not work. If you close Elements it works. Why should Elements be controlling the escape in Autocad LT?

This happens with a number of users.

Computers are running MS Windows 7 Enterprise - 64 bit.
