This is a hard thing to explain but I will do my best.
Sometimes when I edit lines (trim, stretch, move, rotate etc.) I will hit escape and the line will return to how it was before I edited it. For example, I will trim a series of lines and finish the command like normal. As soon as I try to do anything else or hit escpae the line returns to the length it was before I did the trim command, as if I hit undo.
It only happens to random lines and the problem copies with the line. It seems to be related to series of lines that I may have made at a similar time. If I copy the affected geometry it happens to the copy as well. Even stranger, it happens at random times. It is not as if I create the line and then this happens it is more like I have been working in this file for months, I have probably trimmed stretched rotated mirrored these lines hundreds of times and then all of a sudden the line will be like this. Once the line is messed up it is always messed up. The only thing I have been able to do it delete the affected lines and redraw them. Really time consuming and frustrating.
I have ran the autid command. I have recovered. I have regenerated. It is not only one file, though one file seems to be the more affected than others, it has happened in other files as well. I have tried everything I can think of, and usually I can figure out what is going on, but this time I am stumped and cannot find any similar posts. Any ideas?
