AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac - no permission to use product

I just purchased a subscription for AutoCAD LT 1016 for a Mac.  I installed it, signed in and entered the serial number and product key.  I click activate and it tells me I need to contact my administrator to request permission to use this product.  I signed in to my Autodesk account thinking I needed to add myself as a user.  I input my information and it gives me the spinning wheel and never adds me as a user and I therefore cannot open the program.  Am I doing this correctly or am I missing something?
