autocad lt 2000 compatible alternative

I'm looking for an Autocad version which will work in conjuction with Autocad lt 2000. My workplace has Autocad lt 2000 which is used to run a burn table. I can use the burn table in my free time but want the ability to create cad files at home. then use then with the Autocad lt 2000 software at work. Since Autocad lt 2000 seems to be unatainable, i was looking for a compatible replacement . Any ideas would be appreciated...
