I recently installed 2016 after exporting the licence from 2014 and uninstalling, now when I double-click on a .dwg file or the program shortcut I get the "Loading" screen for about 7 seconds(maybe a bit longer than 2014 but not enough to be a problem) then the program window opens with my drawing visible (or the opening page when opening from shortcut) but it takes another 15-20 seconds before the cursor or mouse pointer will appear and allow me to go to work on the drawing or open a file.
I don't work in AutoCAD full time, mostly I'm doing something else and need to open a drawing to check something. So it's a major annoyance to have to stop and wait 20-30 seconds for a file to open.
I'm running Win7 SP1 64-bit on a 3.2 Ghz Intel system with an SSD for programs and Windows, 24 GB of memory, AMD HD6900 graphics card with 1 GB RAM.
Has anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this or should I just revert to 2014?
Thanks,
Bill
