After several years of successful use of AutoCADLT 2000i with Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows VISTA, I upgraded to a new notebook computer with Windows 8.1. AutoCAD LT 2000i seems to work properly at first but after several fresh starts (about 30 to 40 fresh starts) the main program refuses to start again and claims "FATAL ERROR". Recently, the notebook computer was upgraded to Windows 10... the "FATAL ERROR" problem continues with Windows 10. The onyl solution that works for me so far is to completely remove the program and reinstall AutoCAD LT 2000i again. Is there a permanent fix for this problem that does not require removal and reinstallation?
