User is not on subscription but informs me that 2014 is the last software he purchased, activated, and is attempting to use.
Windows 7, 64-bit, meets AutoCAD LT specs, NVIDIA Quadro K4200 graphics card
He is attempting to reinstall because he was having some issues with the software. Initally, he could not get the software installed. He performed a clean install and even reformatted his hard drive with no luck. I verified that he had the anti-virus software disabled. We copied the contents of the install media to the local drive and tried to install from there. Got it installed!
He then launched AutoCAD and received a 1603 error when trying to open a drawing. I had him clear out his %TEMP% folder.
Then he received the infamous missing .hdi driver issue:
He then went through the process of resetting AutoCAD to defaults (though there was no need because it was a new install) and update his video card drivers as stated in the Knowledge Network document, Error: "A display driver file (.hdi) is missing or has been corrupted" when launching AutoCAD.
Before I recommend another uinstall and reinstall, as stated in the document, I wanted to see if anyone out there has any suggestions or recommendations.
