Hello Everybody,
I'm new here so I'll introduce my self real quick. My name is Dan, I'm a draftsmen and estimator for a landscape construction company. I've been using AutoCAD on Windows and Mac since 2004. I have a degree in Landscape Architecture and have used Autodesk products throught my academic and professional carreer.
The problem I am having today is with compatibility; My office computer recently auto-updated to windows 10. I know that running AutoCAD on a new operating system pre-patch is risky and unstable. However, I am recieving a fatal error when I go to save a drawing. This causes the program to crash (send an error report) and try to make a recovered drawing file. So far its only been able to recover 1 of two drawings.
I had a conversation with a customer service chat provider who told me that she couldn't provide me with any patch data (not even if there is a patch in the making).
I'm wondering if there is any work-around other than downgrading my operating system back to windows 8.1.When can we expect an update?
I would also like to mention that this issue has, for the most part, haulted CAD production within my company. Delayed our workflow processes on three different projects. I'm a little dissapointed that a patch hasn't become available, seeing as windows 10 has been in BETA for months now.
