background mask all Mtext automatically?

Is there a feature in autocad LT 2014 that will allow you to set all Mtext to have a background mask automatically, or do you have to enable that feature wiith each new piece of text?  Seems to be a waste of time setting this feature each time I create a new piece of text when I always want my text to have the background mask enabled.
