this is probably such a simple fix it will be embarrassing, but I'm just not seeing it.....
company hired "new guy" to help when work load becomes crazy.... or i just want a day off
I have 2015 AutoCAD LT... he has 2012 AutoCAD LT
we both work off the same TEMPLATE, from the same location on the server, (see TEMPLATE attachment)
he knew nothing about AutoCAD when he got here.... I have Level 3 AutoDesk training.....so I set-up his AutoCAD to match my AutoCAD settings... apples for apples (but obviously I missed something here)
we draw 1:1 in Model Space
on the TEMPLATE there is a single viewport already in place in paperspace... we keep one viewport 1:1 for ACTUAL SIZE and copy the original viewport to scale to a larger size, turning off layers in both to get the effect we want........ still apple to apple
when I adjust the scale for the viewport... say to 4:1..... the dimensions become larger... a 1" X 1" Square still has a dimension of 1" X 1" but the numbers, lines, arrows are larger and all are very easy to read and see (See EXAMPLE 1 attachment)
when the "new guy" adjust the scale for the viewport... say to 4:1..... the dimensions become so small they are microscopic... a 1" X 1" Square still has a dimension of 1" X 1" but the numbers, lines, arrows are so small they are barely visable. (See EXAMPLE 2 attachment)
now if i go back to Model Space on his and "pick" all the dimensions...... open Properties Manager....... Open MISC "Tab" and "answer NO" for Annotative.... problem solved (See EXAMPLE 3 attachment).... BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THIS WITH EVERY DRAWING HE DOES, or he is no longer helping, he is making more work for me :-(
What am I missing?????????
