Within most drawings when doing a simple copy / paste the application locks up completely and goes to "not responding"
I ran a test in a 4.5MB dwg of copying one line of text and it froze for 6 seconds on average each time, the mouse locks up however start menu and the rest of the computer works fine. Sometimes it will freeze up indefinitely and it must be force closed. Both processor and memory usage is low throughout (under 10%).
The issue started as soon as the program was installed on a brand new laptop which is more than capable of running AutoCAD without encountering these issues (http://www.msi.com/product/workstation/WS60-2OJ.html). The video card is both recommended and approved for AutoCAD usage. The computer is fully up to date on Windows and has had all drivers updated.
I have tested within another user account on the computer without change. I have also tested with hardware acceleration turned off in AutoCAD along with all non essential services and applications disabled via msconfig with the same issue.
I also ran process monitor and checked what was going on in the background when it froze up. The program performed no actions at all during the freeze time and i can see the 6 second gap in the logs. I was unable to get any hints and nothing looked out of the ordinary before or after the freeze.
Any help to get this resolved would be great.
