Trim/Extend object uses hatch lines?

Hi,

I'm using Autocad LT 2013 and I was wondering if there is a system variable that excludes hatch patterns from being used during the TRIM command, when you choose "select all".

The "TRIM <enter> <enter> often works much faster than having to select the objects (and maybe deselecting the hatches when using a fence selection).

Locking the layer that contains the hatches has no effect, only turning it of, but I want to keep the hatches visible during drawing.

In the image I attached you can see the green line has been trimmed by the hatch pattern, where it should be trimmed between the two red lines.

Also, when using the "EXTEND" command, "select all", it extends to the hatch lines as well, no matter how far the hatch is from the object I want to extend. It's driving me crazy... :smileysad: Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Sincere greetings,

Sigrid
